About Kimbourne Park
As a community of Christians, we work to make the ancient teachings and experiences relevant to life lived in the here and now. We strive to live as a diverse, radically-inclusive, justice-seeking community. The people at Kimbourne Park invite you to come for the experience and stay for the journey.
People say, “we are different.” Thought and preparation goes into what we do here at Kimbourne Park. Others say, “you never know what to expect.” Rooted in a Christian tradition, we remain relevant and present to what is going on in life. The experience is contemporary as we interweave music, video and image to stir the imagination.
Our message is simple: “You are not alone.” We believe that God loves you, just as you are. We are upbeat — not beat up. That is why we celebrate and affirm one another.
Our kids are active and that’s OK here. We remind parents that the children are safe to wander. You can relax during services, keeping an eye on your little one in our designated play area, right in the Sanctuary.
It's important for us to be accessible to all. Our building's accessible entrance leads to an elevator and the accessible washroom. And parents with strollers love our accessible entrance, too!
Like many churches today, we average between 30-50 during worship. Small is good. You are welcomed, seen and heard. Being a small group, we are like a neighbourhood. We watch, we care, we understand.
This cannot be said enough… we are not alone. Believer or not, straight, gay, bisexual, asexual, transgender or questioning, you are welcome and you are safe at Kimbourne Park. We are young, we are old and we are in between. Some are single, married, poly, or divorced. We are multicultural. There is room for all.
